The Cadw Swn Welsh Vocabulary Booster for Windows and Apple Mac
OSX - now on CD!
It's
funny how you can sometimes forget things.
Colin Jones, author of Cadw Swn, was once a
computer games writer and programmer.
And yet, until now he'd never even
considered writing software for Welsh learners. We think
he's been working too hard you know.
But better late than never, and Colin finally connected
computers and Cymraeg recently and decided to write 'The
Cadw Swn Welsh Vocabulary Booster'; a fun way to blast
through your Welsh vocabulary. It runs on Windows and Apple Mac
OSX.
We think it's a must for anyone interested in improving
their Welsh vocabulary - a major factor in reaching fluency
after all.
Each
time you run the software the program generates 25 random
questions from its bank of around 200 questions.
Some questions ask you to select the correct Welsh word
from a selection of three, often with a colourful picture to
cement the word into your memory.
Other questions ask you to match up a list of Welsh and
English words or phrases. We believe that simply having to
choose from a set of alternatives will help you learn
quicker and smarter. And it's a lot more fun than rummaging
through a dictionary!
Finally,
you get a score, and the chance to review your answers to
see where you succeeded and failed. You might like to think
of it as your own personal vocabulary tutor. Ah, but what
would a personal Welsh tutor cost?
We decided that £9.95 plus postage was large enough for us to make a profit,
but small enough so that anyone who's interested could buy
it.
Order now and we'll include our 'Fast-Forward your Welsh
Speaking Skills' audio MP3 file (previously on sale at
£7.50) free of charge! Worldwide delivery.
Software requirements: Windows 98 or above. Mac OSX.
